Paul is the CEO of the NEC Group, one of the World’s top venue management companies. In addition to operating the National Exhibition Centre Genting Arena and the Vox ConferenceCentre (situated within Resorts World Birmingham), the Group alsooperates the International Convention Centre and Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham city centre. It manages a range of support services - a national ticketing agency, The Ticket Factory; hospitality brand, Amplify; and award-winning caterer, Amadeus.
The Group employs 1500 permanent staff and 300 casual workers and delivers more than £2.1 billion annual impact to the regional economy, supporting the full-time equivalent of 29,000 jobs.
Paul is Chair of Birmingham & Solihull Employment & Skills Board, Chair of the Birmingham Sports commission, and provides business mentorship to 3 businesses in the digital and media markets.
In addition to supporting the NEC Group’s Charity of the Year, Paul is a patron of Marie Curie and is on the advisory board of Bowel Cancer UK.
