Satinder Kaur Taunque OBE DL
Satinder is engaged in numerous professional, social, cultural and religious activities and voluntary services to the community and presently she is a visiting lecturer and a volunteer Chaplain at Heartlands Hospital.
Satinder is a former elected public Governor of Birmingham Women’s NHS Foundation Trust and a former member of the Trust’s Standing Appointment Committee.
Satinder has actively contributed to inter-community integration during the past 47 years where she has been trying to bridge the gap between the host community and ethnic minorities by holding cultural link programmes, multicultural events and cultural exchanges.
Satinder is a member of Birmingham Civic Society, a member of Women Confederation on World Peace, a member of the Hall Green Residents Association and an Associate Member of The Royal Society of St. George. She is the former Chairperson of Roshini Council which runs a hostel for homeless Asian women and girls and a former Chair of Sikh Education Forum.
